The Imai files are a collection of Pre-Production art from Super Dimension Calvary Southern Cross and Genesis Climber Mospeada, more or less known as ”The Other Two Parts of Robotech” to people unfamiliar to the series.
The owner of the files, Roger Harkavy aquired them when he visted a warehouse that formerly belonged to Imai Kagaku, a defunct toy & model company. The designs themselves come from Artmic (Shinji Aramaki) and Studio Ammonite (Hiroshi Ogawa, Hirotoshi Okura & Takashi Ono).
What I found nice about these were they give the perspective of how a TV series is developed, particularly from the sponsor/merchandizer perspective.
