LOL! and I thought I’d never get my hands on it.
Yep! Finally managed to dig my claws on GSC’s Black Rock Shooter. T’was a rare find, so I had to buy it at a high price. First of all, the box is absolutely gorgeous and exceptionally big, considering that the fig inside is only 1/8 scale.
To be honest, the box is much bigger than those of my 1/6 scale figs. With a box like that, you’d probably think they were gracious enough to pack a 1/6 BRS there, but nooOOOooOo.
*Opens* Well, here she is! Black Rock Shooter…
First of all, the prototype shots were much more colorful than the real thing. Instead of giving that light blue shine on her hair, the entire piece was completely dark. Her eyes weren’t as bright as they were on the photos either, giving off a dark, dull and empty glare.
I really should get some blue lights for this…
What really captured me was the stand. I must say, not only does this stand look exactly like a big pile of rocks, the entire thing weighs as much as one too <_<.
Truth be told, the cannon doesn’t look that metallic IRL (weird how photos give it its titanium shine). It actually looks like cheap dented plastic if you see it up close.
And finally, we have the interchangeable bangs that give her the glowing BRS trademark.
A bit overpriced, but definitely worth it.
