Megami magazine has just held a contest to see who the most popular anime characters are as of recently results. The results and my thoughts are below.

4. Katsura Hinagiku (Hayate no Gotoku)
5. Nodoka Haramura (Saki)
6. Nanoha Takamichi (Nanoha)
7. Horo (Spice and Wolf)
8. Kurimu Sakurano (Seitokai no Ichizon)
9. BiriBiri (To Aru Kagaku no Railgun)
10. Hitagi Senjougahara (Bakemonogatari)
WOW! Who would have thought that Mio from K-ON! would be at number one?everyone…I’m a bit shocked that Fate from Nanoha made second, I have watched Nanoha so I don’t really understand her appeal… but I know that the actuall anime is pretty popular. And here goes third, Yui(one of my actual favorite K-ON! girls)I would have expected her to come in 2nd actually … HINAGIKU!HINAGIKU! YAY~! Hina-chan made it to fourth place! one character on this list who I actually really like! I knew she would have to be on this list! I just had now clue how high she would on the list. I haven’t watched all of Saki, but I know I don’t really like Nodoka all too much, I think people just like the big “eyes” thing. And suprisingly on the list to accompony Fate is Nanoha! isn’t that sort of okward? that two characters from the same series made it onto the list? I know K-ON! made it but that was sort of expected…yeah… pretty much expecting to see Horo here, it was pretty much a given. I’ve seen a bit of Spice and Wolf, it was pretty good, and I can sort of see why people love her so much, though I’m not a real fan of her in particular.Kurimu is a really new character as far as anime goes, remeber, she’s from the anime I was probably never going to watch? I’m suprised this character is actually on the list, but I know nothing about her whatsoever. Mikoto, I was expecting to see her as well especially since she’s her own series and people just seem to love her so much. and lastly Hitagi, I actually wasn’t expecting to see her here, but evidently she made it, I can see why she would have made it too, she’s a pretty cool character. They say she’s a Tsundere but I don’t see it…
Of all the characters here on this list I’m really suprised I haven’t seen Haruhi/Yuki, from Haruhui Suzumiya, but that’s probably cuz of endless eight …
